The Customer Success Manager (CSM) works closely with customers from onboarding through renewals to ensure maximum customer value. As a trusted advisor, customer advocate, and coach, the CSM determines how Sparta’s products can be effectively applied to support achievement of the customer’s strategic business goals. The CSM will orchestrate an exceptional customer experience by bringing the right internal and external resources to ensure the successful use of Sparta products, resulting in referenceable customers. The CSM will be commercially savvy, perform account planning activities, and seek business development opportunities while ensuring adoption, expansion, and renewals.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction, as measured by customer renewals, advocacy, and increased share of wallet.
  • 3+ years in a B2B SaaS customer success environment with responsibilities across large, medium, and small businesses.
  • Experience selling Software and Professional Services.
  • Customer focused.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and communicate at all levels.
  • High business acumen & technical aptitude.
  • Intuitiveness to drill down into the customer’s constraints/pains, not focusing on product-oriented discussions.
  • Experience orchestrating meetings that include multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Comfortable in small and large group settings to drive an agenda to meet desired outcomes.
  • Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence.
  • Experience collaborating with other lines of businesses (Customer Support, R&D, Product Management, Services) to ensure customer success.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the life sciences/regulated industries, including current trends, segments, and products produced
  • Experience with Quality Management solutions in regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of the Quality Management functions and the QMS space
  • Working knowledge of salesforce.com platform
  • Proven interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead customer engagement and manage multiple tasks involved in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Change management experience with strong understanding of customer experience related metrics
