As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for evaluating new solutions and developing the supporting elements required to incorporate new technologies in a safe and secure manner. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in cloud-based development and security management in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments. The candidate must be able to discuss infrastructure and application security with customers and prospects, participate in security audits, and aid in responding to RFPs and questionnaires. For consideration to this job posting, candidates must possess hands-on experience in designing for both small and large-scale solutions with an emphasis on security, performance, scalability and cost. This role can be 100% remote with a strong preference for candidates who live in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Required Skills:
+ Responsibilities: 
  • Provide technical guidance and facilitate a collective understanding of data flows and security issues encountered in cloud applications and services
  • Ensure architectural strategy and designs aligns with future business and technology needs while considering cost.
  • Provide education on security frameworks like NIST and governance over adherence 
  • Work with teams to ensure best practices like Infrastructure as code, automation and orchestration are in place.
  • Develop, maintain and educate teams on best practices for deploying web and service-based applications utilizing containers 
  • Deliver cloud security architecture consulting with business and other technology teams to address complex application needs   
  • Ensure proper tooling for static code analysis, dynamic code analysis and dependency analysis is in place and reviewed on a regular basis working with cross-team security champions
  • Hold regular security reviews to ensure scan results are evaluated and findings addresses according to severity, business impact and priority
  • Participate in discussions led by Sales and Services with customers and prospects regarding application and infrastructure Security
  • Participate in Customer Audits pertaining to our Security processes and best practices
  • Handle incoming requests for responses on RFPs and Questionnaires to security questions   
  • Understanding of global data residency requirements and data protection regulations (i.e. GDPR, etc.), and architecting infrastructure to ensure compliance 
  • Perform other duties as assigned​
Preferred Skills:
+ Qualifications:
  • Multi-disciplined professional with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Overall experience in the range of 10+ years with at least 7 years of experience in a large-scale SaaS platform support, focused on Site Reliability, DevOps, Development, and Security
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud providers: AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python, ELK stack, Datadog
  • A background in general security practices such as identify and access management (IAM), encryption, multi-factor authentication, security information and event management (SIEM), and supporting technologies
  • Knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and other relevant security-related regulations
  • Expertise in workflow/pipeline automation leveraging CI/CD
  • Experience estimating effort and resources required for projects and working with project managers to structure projects
  • Passionate about the digital landscape with desire for continuous learning and development
  • Team player that can work with diverse groups across an organization
  • Proven experience in, and passion for technically leading teams, mentoring staff and driving organizational change
  • Proven record for problem resolution and successful completion of complex projects on time
  • Demonstrated professional writing/communication skills

  • Cloud Security certification
  • Azure, Google, or AWS Architecture Certification
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
