  • Sparta Systems Demonstrates Global Enterprise Quality Management Leadership at TrackWise® Connection User Conferences

North America and Europe Events Honor Customer Innovation and Expertise Leveraging TrackWise Platform

Holmdel, NJ - December 3, 2008 - Sparta Systems, Inc., a market leader in enterprise quality and compliance management software, today announced the culmination of its successful TrackWise Connection North American and European user events, which brought together market leaders from around the globe to discuss best practices for navigating the dynamic quality management and compliance marketplace. The seventh annual U.S. event, held on Oct. 13-17 in San Diego, and the third annual European event, held Nov. 2-5 in Prague, featured more than 300 combined attendees, with global leaders in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device manufacturing, food and beverage and other vital industries from around the world, offering strategies for managing quality and compliance across the enterprise.

For organizations with worldwide operations, quality management and compliance serve as critical facets of doing business in the increasingly global economy. No matter the country of origin, managing suppliers and product quality across global supply chains and complying with regulatory agencies are complex tasks shared across borders, and remain crucial to the growth of the enterprise. Sparta Systems, understanding these complex challenges, established TrackWise Connection as a unique annual forum for organizations in both North America and Europe to share concerns, strategies, successes and best practices with industry peers, ultimately learning new and innovative ways to drive success and continue to lead their respective markets.

To highlight specific landmark achievements using the TrackWise software solution, this year’s TrackWise Connection featured the second annual TrackWise Innovation Awards, honoring organizations’ successes in facilitating quality management and compliance initiatives to streamline processes, drive efficiency and raise the bar on compliance activities. This year’s first place honoree in North America, a global, diversified healthcare company that applies a unique combination of expertise in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, was recognized for its innovative change control project that reduced time spent by the IT department migrating and locating documents by more than 25 percent, resulting in significant cost savings in employee billing annually. The European first place winner was Vetter Pharma-Fertigung GmbH & Co. KG which uses Document Lifecycle Management processes with TrackWise, eliminating the need to use an external document management software.

The 2008 TrackWise Connection events marked the first user showcase since the formation of the TrackWise User Group (TUG), which now counts among its membership more than 500 TrackWise users across the globe. Session highlights from TrackWise Connection North America and Europe 2008 included:

    • “Defining the Value of Enterprise Quality Management”
    • “What to Do When the FDA Comes Knocking”
    • “Deploying a Global Harmonized Process for Deviation, Investigations and Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)”
    • “Enterprise Strategy to Implement TrackWise Globally”

“In order to maintain a consistent level of innovation in leveraging TrackWise for global quality and compliance management, Sparta Systems understands that its users require a forum that enables them to share common goals, successes and strategies for pushing the envelope in the industries they represent,” said James E. McGowan, president and CEO, Sparta Systems. “This year’s global TrackWise Connection events were extremely effective in this regard, proving once again that our customers include some of the brightest and most forward-thinking companies in their respective markets.”
