  • Memorial Blood Centers Selects Sparta Systems' TrackWise

Holmdel, NJ - June 7, 2007 – Memorial Blood Centers has announced the implementation of Sparta Systems’ TrackWise®, the leading quality systems management software tool. TrackWise will allow the blood center to further improve upon the organization's quality compliance and system efficiency.

TrackWise is a web-based management software tool for electronically managing, tracking, and trending quality, regulatory, and organizational compliance processes and action items across the enterprise. TrackWise enables companies to reduce costs and streamline business operations by replacing disparate systems and manual processes with a centralized electronic workflow and reporting system.

TrackWise will enable Memorial Blood Centers to more efficiently track and trend events and continually enhance the quality process in areas such as Donor Collections, Hospital Services, Laboratory Services and others.

"The TrackWise software implementation is just another way that Memorial Blood Centers continuously improves our systems to not only remain an industry leader, but most importantly, continue our mission of providing a safe supply of blood products and services to the Minnesota and Wisconsin communities that we serve," said Don Berglund, CEO of Memorial Blood Centers.

While Memorial Blood Centers already excel in compliance with regulatory and professional standards, TrackWise allows the blood center to more effectively address quality issues to further promote process improvement. The initial implementation will focus on streamlining the error management process, including quality incident reports (QIRs), investigations, corrective and preventive actions, adequacy and effectiveness checks, and FDA reports and follow-ups.

"Sparta Systems is pleased to welcome Memorial Blood Centers as a TrackWise customer," stated Ran Flam, CEO of Sparta Systems. "The organization is raising the bar for quality standards in the blood services industry by implementing an integrated electronic system for proactively managing compliance with cGMPs, FDA and AABB (American Association of Blood Banks)."
