Sparta Systems is seeking a Product Marketing Manager with expertise in product positioning and competitive intelligence. This individual will develop a deep understanding of Sparta’s product capabilities and be able to clearly articulate Sparta’s unique value proposition to internal and external audiences. The Product Marketing Manager will own and deliver innovative and compelling marketing and sales enablement content to differentiate and position Sparta Systems’ leading solutions in the Life Sciences and other industries.

  • Market and Competitive Intelligence: Keeps up to date on life science quality, regulatory requirements and industry trends, key players and potential disruptions. Be the expert on our competitors and why we win.  Follow and analyze market trends to position the product and identify new required capabilities.
  • Competitive Analysis and Positioning: Own the competitive analysis process working with Product Management and Sales teams to identify product strengths, gaps, and conduct win/loss analysis. Develop positioning briefs and sales tools to communicate and educate field on Sparta’s differentiated capabilities.
  • Messaging: Leverage life science industry quality and regulatory understanding in order to develop bold messaging and positioning for TrackWise and TrackWise Digital solutions that differentiates the product in the market.
  • Sales Enablement: Partner with Product Management team to communicate the value proposition of the product to the sales team. Experienced in developing marketing assets and sales tools with ability to enable internal business development teams.
  • Customer Insight: Able to leverage past industry experience to gain voice of customer perspective on the role of quality management systems and communicate day-to-day challenges that users face when managing quality and compliance. Be the expert on buyer persona (leaders in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Management) and mindset of buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria to develop assets that support sales cycle.
  • Content: Owns and creates content to articulate product capabilities and benefits to the world. Example of product and marketing assets include battlecards, data sheets, infographics, solution briefs, white papers, user guides, presentations, sales tools, product videos, website copy, and articles. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written communication and presentation skills to articulate solution and company messaging and positioning.
  • Product Launch: Support the launch of new related products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a technical discipline, MBA desirable or a combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Product Marketing for enterprise software
  • Domain knowledge and experience working with the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device) manufacturing or supply chain preferred
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and be accountable for actions 
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills
  • Accountable, flexible, driven, dependable
  • Attention to detail, results and organizationally oriented
