Sparta Systems' TrackWise Software Enhances Quality Processes at The Blood Connection
Greenville, SC - February 22, 2007 – As part of its ongoing mission to provide a safe, adequate blood supply for the Greenville and Upstate South Carolina area, The Blood Connection, a non-profit blood center, recently added a cutting-edge technology to manage its quality processes. TrackWise, an enterprise software system developed by Sparta Systems, Inc. (Sparta), for highly-regulated life science industries, will help The Blood Connection track many compliance requirements more efficiently and replace paper-based processes.
According to Vice President of Quality Denise Calloway, The Blood Connection will benefit from the software tool because it will help the organization track and manage all kinds of information vital in the blood collecting, testing and storing processes more efficiently. In effect, it will help the company improve compliance reporting that is required by Food and Drug Administration. "In the past, most of our quality processes have been managed by staff and tracked on paper," said Calloway. "This is often time consuming and leaves us open to the possibility of human error in interpretation and analysis of different events. Therefore, Sparta's TrackWise will be a good, proactive use of our company's resources."
TrackWise will give The Blood Connection a central point for quality information that can link related events and actions to automate workflow and offer analysis needed for a variety of issues.
"Initially, TrackWise will help us focus on corrective and preventive management," Calloway added. "Looking ahead, we'll have the opportunity to track any kind of information we need, such as complaints, audits, equipment maintenance, and environmental health and safety issues. The possibilities are endless."
"TrackWise will provide a central point for quality and give all of the personnel at The Blood Connection access to shared information, enhancing efficiency by enabling more proactive use of company resources," stated Bruce Edgar, Account Executive, for Sparta. "The system is designed to facilitate process harmonization, providing users with valuable, real time information to support business objectives." The Blood Connection will leverage Sparta's best practices pre-configured solution and industry experience to expedite its implementation of TrackWise.
