Holmdel, NJ - June 11, 2008 - Sparta Systems, Inc. (Sparta), the maker of TrackWise®, and the market leader in enterprise quality and compliance management software announces that Grünenthal, a global pharmaceutical company specializing in the field of pain therapy, contraception and innovative formulations for established active substances, deployed TrackWise to handle its quality management and compliance activities.

Grünenthal has implemented the TrackWise solution to manage all aspects of its audit management & product change control. Regulatory requirements will be maintained using the TrackWise solutions, thereby replacing the existing paper based system.

“TrackWise ensures our standardization in planning and conducting internal and external audits. The solution is flexible enough to adopt and scale to our growing needs, while ensuring the high level of compliance we continuously demand,” said Dr. Ekkehard Herpers, Head of Corporate Quality Assurance R&D at Grünenthal. “With TrackWise, we are able to easily manage and track our findings and the corresponding corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPAs).”

“We are using TrackWise for management of the Change Control Procedure within Grünenthal, which speeds up our process and which facilitates communication and information flow between all involved departments” said Dr. Achim Troll, Head Quality Assurance within Technical Operations and responsible for GMP-Compliance. “As a next step, as already realized for GCP/GLP/Pharmacovigilance-audits, TrackWise will be used for GMP-audits management which will help us to improve GMP-compliance continuously. For the future we are planning to widen the application of TrackWise permanently in managing GMP-processes”.

“TrackWise audit management will enable Grünenthal to improve quality, reduce costs and identify operational risks by facilitating the full lifecycle management of audits and helping ensure that findings are resolved in a timely and effective manner,” said Sahaf Flam, General Manager, Sparta Systems Europe.
