Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Steve Buonaiuto serves as Sparta Systems’ Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and brings more than 25 years of executive management experience in accounting, finance and operations, the majority of which have been spent in global technology companies.
Steve’s commitment to operational excellence while maintaining strong EBITDA and healthy margins has been at the core of his successful career, and is key to Sparta’s next phase of evolution.
Most recently at CA Technologies, Steve held numerous executive level positions including Senior Vice President of Operations for product development and marketing, CFO of EMEA and CFO of Global Services, a $1 billion and $400 million business, respectively. In these roles, he established several frameworks that created the building blocks for the company to scale, while leveraging economies of scope. Steve was deeply involved in the execution of the company’s product and go-to-market strategies as well as in driving strategic profitable growth. He also transformed and restructured the European finance organization, creating a shared service center in Prague. While in Europe, Steve was responsible for the deal desk, accounting and FP&A.
Formerly, Steve was Regional Vice President for North America consulting operations at Oracle. While at Oracle, Steve managed all service related operational and financial matters, including compensation planning and administration. Steve joined Oracle through its acquisition of Siebel Systems in 2006, where he developed the infrastructure to support the implementation of a global services division, which generated over $1 billion annually in revenue, amongst many other accomplishments.
Steve also served as Senior Manager-Finance and Operations for Sybase, and Controller for various firms in multiple industries, after starting his finance career at Deloitte & Touche.
Steve holds a BS in Accounting from Bryant University and an MS in Operations and Technology from the Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College.
