The peanut butter recall required a list of popular peanut butter brands, such as Jif, Skippy and Peter Pan to recall their contaminated peanut butter. The FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) passed the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), giving them the power to enforce recalls and suspend factory operations without a court hearing.
